One of the best way for us all to learn and grow as a community is through respectful discussions and judgment free spaces to ask questions and receive answers. The form below acts as a space for you to ask questions related to LGBTQ+ inclusivity and representation within the wedding industry. I'll then answer these to the best of my abilities on Instagram stories on the third Wednesday of each month starting in August with the hope to incorporate and amplify queer industry voices along the way. Questions are welcome to be shared anonymously below and all identities will be kept private when sharing answers, regardless of information shared below. Hate, spam, and disrespect will not be tolerated and will be removed from the conversation. I additionally reserve the right to respectfully decline answering questions that I don't feel equipped to answer or feel are too personal or triggering for myself or our community.

Please keep in mind: I can only speak from my personal perspectives and do not speak for the entire LGBTQ+ community. I am able to offer suggestions based on my own experiences and research. Yes, this is a valuable resource, but I encourage you to continue your research and to speak with queer people in your personal and professional circles too.

Additionally, this is not an inquiry form. If you would like to get in touch regarding reserving a session or educational opportunity (1:1 mentoring, speaking, etc.), please send me a note here

Queer Q&A

I believe in creating a space that is safe for folks to learn without fear of judgement. I want to foster environments that allow for honest conversations, making (and owning) mistakes, and asking vulnerable questions. I think cancel culture is lame and believe in giving everyone a chance to own and correct shortcomings or mistakes after being given the opportunity to learn. After all, we are all human.

Queer inclusivity and representation within the wedding space is something that I am incredibly passionate about. I have heard countless stories from queer couples who have experienced rejection and discrimination within their wedding planning based on their identities and hope to pave the way for a wedding industry where couples can easily recognize allied wedding vendors, avoiding damaging and heartbreaking exclusion or rejection during their wedding planning experience.

I truly believe that small changes over time are better than no change at all, and while this may be a privileged perspective, I hope that it is one that can slowly, but surely enact change without burnout. An avalanche doesn't start at its strongest... it takes a few small pieces of ice to create one of the most powerful phenomenons in nature. My hope is that, by encouraging small, actionable steps to take overtime, wedding photographers will learn how to include queer couples in respectful, affirming, and sustainable ways while feeling empowered and encouraged to ask questions to better understand the queer experience.

I am so grateful that you are here and excited to learn. The best is yet to come... so stay tuned! Keep an eye on this page for updates, exciting launches, freebies, and more! And, if you haven't already... be sure to hop on my educational email newsletter to be the first to receive updates from me riiiiight within your inbox!
