Thank you so much for your interest in booking a session with CKP! I am no longer local to State College and am sadly unable to take on sessions local to the area. If you ever find yourself looking to book a session in the DMV, please reach out! I would love to work together!
My oh my this post is long overdue. First off, I would like to advise you against starting a huge brand redesign in the middle of your busiest season. With just about 30 sessions in a two month period, classes, work, senior year activities, and the like, you will be frustrated when you can’t do it all, and that is just not fun y’all. Trust. I ended up exporting/backing up my blog back in April (the redesign was a process, let me tell you), when I was playing around in WordPress. I was terrified that I was going to lose a post (oh the irony. I ended up losing them all!), so I put my senior posts on hold, until now.
This season was, by far, the most challenging, but it was also the most rewarding. I stretched my schedule pretty thin, leading to some less than pretty breakdowns to my mom over the phone. However, I soon realized that I got to spend the early mornings and evenings photographing some of my best friends and sweetest clients, and suddenly life was so much better. I learned so much about myself as a photographer, as a business owner, and as a person, and I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world.
This year was a little different for me. Not only was I shooting graduating seniors’ photos, I was graduating too. It was a weird feeling. {and still is}. You through your days, not quite willing to recognize that they’re the last in your favorite place with your favorite people…then suddenly town is packed with parents and you’re turning tassels, tossing caps, and packing up the apartment you’ve called home for three years. Time flies y’all, but I am so thankful for the experience that I have had not only this year, but the three seasons prior. There’s something about photographing Penn State’s campus that is just so special. I can’t quite put it into words.
I got to work with some of the most amazing people this year, and I am so excited to see all the wonderful things that they do in this world. With just about thirty sessions and close to 70 faces in the books, I don’t think I have quite the right words to thank you all for your support. Seeing all my hopes and dreams become a reality is such a weird feeling, and its all because of you that it is possible.
This senior season was an absolute dream, and I am so excited to share some of my favorite shots with you today. Typically, I do a recap post for each senior, but this year, I’m mixing things up! Get ready for a long post, y’all. My favorite shots from my 2016 {and a few from 2015!} Penn State senior season are below:
