These cuties started my weekend off with SO many smiles! Emily and Matt were so flexible before their engagement session! They had to deal with a few location changes because, as we kept an eye on the forecast, it definitely looked it was going to downpour for their entire session. We knew we needed a location with stunning views with or without rain, so we decided on Union Station!
We got SO lucky though… the rain held off until I got in my car and was driving home (and then didn’t stop for the rest of the weekend!). Talk about amazing timing!! We started their early morning session at Union Station and worked our way to Duke’s Counter on Connecticut Ave. Duke’s is their favorite city spot to hang out and a place that means so much to their relationship! We knew that we had to make a visit, and I am so glad that we did! I absolutely love when clients opt to include locations that have a special meaning to them.
Emily and Matt sing in the same choir at church, and as soon as they started dating, they knew they were going to be the other’s forever! When I get a chance, I always love to share a little bit of what my clients love the most about their partner. Emily’s words nearly brought me to tears:
I got to catch these two sharing that look countless times throughout their engagement session, and what an honor it was! We had stunning and classic DC views, snuggles at a spot that means so much to them, and (best of all!!) dry skies!!
Emily loves Kate Spade designs, and so, these two are planning a gorgeous Kate Spade design inspired river boat cruise to celebrate their marriage in 2019! I cannot wait to have them in front of my camera again!
Onward to Duke’s Counter! A huge thank you to their staff for opening early for us on a SATURDAY!!
