Keiko: A Graduation Portrait Session at the Lincoln Memorial | Washington, D.C. Graduation Portrait Photographer

This Lincoln Memorial Graduation session was such a JOY— y’all… I can’t wait for you to meet Keiko! This girl just graduated (This past weekend!!!) from American University with a M.S. in Terrorism and Homeland Security Policy, and I had the absolute pleasure of capturing a few grad photos for her just before her family came into town to celebrate all that she has accomplished!

Truly, I think that one of the sweetest things about this job of mine is that I get to meet incredibly kind and inspiring people during such sweet seasons of celebration, and this session was no different. In my short time with her, I learned that Keiko loves to laugh, she’s easy going, down for just about anything & is so dedicated to furthering her education as she dives deeper into her field. In addition to graduating with her MASTERS, Keiko also found out just the day before our session together that she was graduating with a full-time job offer (That will keep her right here in DC… thank goodness!). How amazing is that?! She’s worked so incredibly hard… I am so excited to see what is around the corner for her!

Keiko and I got to meet for a sunrise session last Wednesday which meant that we were meeting at literally SIX in the morning to avoid the crazy crowds on the National Mall this time of year. (Have I ever mentioned that I have the best clients in the world?!) She was all smiles though and absolutely rocked her time in front of the camera. It has been a minute since I’ve had a session at Lincoln, and the views certainly didn’t disappoint… it was SO good to be back! I can’t wait to share you a sneak peek into her grad session! Let’s dive right in…

PS Future grads dreaming of a session at the Lincoln Memorial should note that it’s currently under construction until 2026. Don’t worry, though! There are plenty of alternative locations in DC that offer equally stunning backdrops. This session features one of my recommended itineraries for grads to use throughout construction. You can check out the project details and explore other options here.

These sunrise views will never get old! GIRL. I am obsessed with this dress!  *Insert Cardi B. OKURRR here*
