Shanna and Connor | An Elegant Sienna, Mauve and Peach Tone Fall Wedding in Washington, DC

I have to admit… I was a little nervous for Shanna and Connor’s wedding day. You see, they’ve been planning an INCREDIBLE wedding day with an amazing team of vendors for such a long time, and I was just hoping that I would be able to do their vision justice! We were also scheduled to visit not one, not two but SEVEN different locations during their wedding day! (What?!) The city of Washington, DC means so much to this sweet couple, and they worked hard to ensure that we visited some iconic DC locations and a few spots that mean a lot to these two as a couple! With some super strategic planning, I’m happy to say that we did it! (And goodness… was it beautiful!).

On the morning of Shanna and Connor’s wedding day, I arrived at the Airbnb where Shanna was getting ready and was greeted by the sweetest group of bridesmaids in matching puppy pajamas. Right away, I knew I was in amazing company and that all of my nerves were for nothing! The rest of the morning was a blur of hair and makeup, oohing and ahhing over the incredible bouquets, and happy tears and hugs as Shanna stepped into her gown. The rest of the day? It was absolute fall magic! Shanna and Connor’s day truly went off without a hitch, and it was so incredibly sweet to see how loved these two are by their friends and family.

From sharing their first look within views of the Washington Monument to exchanging vows at the DC War Memorial, to wedding and couple’s portraits at Lincoln and dancing the night away at Eastern Market’s North Hall, I think it is safe to say that these two pulled off the perfect DC wedding day. We even made our way back to where it all began when these two were students at GW! (Just wait until you see where these two met!) There were tears of laughter, tears of joy and so, so many hugs shared throughout the day. Shanna and Connor are probably the sweetest, most caring, and servant-hearted people that I have ever met, and it was such a joy to witness and document the start of this new chapter for them. I can’t wait for you to get a sneak peek into their warm fall-inspired wedding day! Shall we begin?!

These bouquets were UNREAL! Love these fall tones! See!! Aren’t these pajamas the best?! Shanna… you make such a stunning bride! I think it is safe to say that Amanda knocked the floral design for the day out of the park!!! The sweetest group of girls! Now over to see the guys! Walking to Constitution Gardens for Shanna & Connor’s first look! (I think this may be my new favorite portrait location in DC!) I spy fall colors!! These two are the sweetest! I’m still not over these florals with these dresses! SOO perfect for fall! This may just be my new favorite view in DC! A few sweet pre-ceremony moments over at the DC War Memorial! What an EPIC ceremony space… with so much sweet meaning for these two. MARRIED! Now… over to Lincoln where we met up with Shanna & Connor’s sweet pup, Hoover! What a dapper little dude! We got some gorgeous light! After Lincoln, we headed over to the bench where these two met by chance for the very first time while they were students at GW! And now… over to Eastern Market for the party! This may just be the funniest bouquet toss progression ever… look veeeeeerry closely! We finished the night with a visit from Captain Cookie! Ice cream sandwiches & cookies for all! A huge thank you to these two for having me along to photograph their day!
