Nicole and Chris | A Fall Inspired Wedding Day in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania

Nicole and Chris’s wedding day was nothing short of fall perfection, and goodness, I cannot wait to share it with you!

I met Nicole on my very first day of summer session at Penn State. We were in the same classes and spent a full summer navigating a brand new college campus, spent way too much time in the HUB stressing over the simplest essays and even attended our very first parties at the frats together. We spent our first days together at Penn State, trying to figure out what this chapter of our lives was supposed to look like, and I remember feeling so grateful to have made such a fast and genuine friend. Fast forward a few years later to our senior year, and she asked me to photograph her senior photos at the Lion Shrine with her boyfriend at the time… Chris! Right away, I noticed how she lit up around this guy. I could tell that what they had was incredibly special with the way that they caught each other’s eye and giggled in between shots. So… when I got an email from Nicole a few years after graduation that her and Chris were ENGAGED and she needed a wedding photographer, I was speechless. I seriously don’t think that there could be a bigger honor than such a sweet friend asking you to photograph the start of a brand new chapter.

When it came time for Nicole to step into her gown on her wedding day, you can bet that I nearly burst into tears! Her bridesmaids were exclaiming over how perfect she looked (she did!!), but her smile said it all! She was SO excited to marry Chris! Nicole is the kind of person that knows how to make you feel special… she’s an incredible listener, has a contagious laugh and an incredibly genuine soul. Chris compliments Nicole in the most perfect way, and together, they bring out the absolute best in each other. I am so incredibly happy that these two have found each other.

Nicole and Chris have been dreaming of a gorgeous fall wedding day for a long time now, and that is exactly what we got! It was the kind of crisp fall day where it wasn’t too hot or too cold and where the blue sky seemed to stretch on for miles and miles. It was a beautiful day, yes, but what I was struck most by was how loved these two are by their family and friends. There were so many hugs, happy tears, and belly laughs, making an already incredible wedding day all the more special.

Love this sweet group of ladies! Nicole re-read her letter to Chris, and her reaction and Chris’s mom’s reaction was just the sweetest. Sweet sisters! First look time! That’s one happy guy! The sweetest reaction from Chris! The leaves in PA are slow to turn this year, so we were on a mission to find some fall foliage during portraits… It took a little creativity, but we found some!! Just WAIT until you see the gorgeous tree we found in a few frames! The sweetest couple! We found FALL!! One of my favorites! Nicole… you make a stunning bride! Nicole grew up visiting Cape May, NJ and always wanted a trolley at her wedding! We were able to grab it in between its run to shuttle guests from the hotel to the venue for a few couples’ portraits! Full wedding party crew looking good! Dapper dudes! The sweetest girls! The moment Nicole’s grandmother saw her as a BRIDE was just the sweetest! Time for these two to get MARRIED!! Official! SO much joy!!! Nicole brought fall indoors for their reception! So pretty! Time to celebrate! These two know how to throw a party! Wishing their sweet nephew a happy birthday!
