DANG I cannot WAIT for you to meet this friend of mine! Manali is a POWERHOUSE of a business owner and one of the sweetest human beings you’ll ever meet. She is a photography educator, brand photographer, and wedding photographer with a strong focus on gorgeous, multicultural events. She has been a dear friend of mine for a while now, and it was SUCH an incredible honor to photograph images for her brand.
She is one of those people that you can trust and connect with instantly— she has such a wonderful presence. She is so organized and strategy-based, making these images come together in such a purposeful way. We’ve been going back and forth about business strategy, life goals, and more for the better part of a year and a half now over Zoom and Voxer, and it was SO much fun to meet up with her in person for a change!
We started her session at Quirk in Charlottesville in their adorable lobby, filled with comfy chairs, bold white archways, and so many nooks, straight out of a magazine! One of her sweet vault students, Liz Hunt, drove in to support Manali’s brand photographer, educator, and community concepts (Thank you so much, Liz!), and it was SO much fun to meet another sweet photographer! From there, we headed back to Manali’s apartment for some purposeful BTS images, depicting various aspects of her day-to-day life, portions of her business, and some photos with Keegs (her adorable rescue kitty, I’ve been dying to meet for months!).
I have been LOVING seeing how Manali is putting her images to work and cannot WAIT to share some of my favorite frames from our time together! (Keep scrolling for the good stuff!)
