File this one under dream session, complete! Abby reached out to me a few months ago about scheduling a sweet couple’s session with their pup to celebrate her first birthday! I couldn’t say yes fast enough— Any time you want photos with your pup, you better bet I’m there! Bamba is a cavalier and poodle mix, and when I say she is the SWEETEST pup, I’m not kidding! She’s also pretty stinking adorable… being asked by multiple people if she was an Instagram model pup! (Answer: no, but she could easily fill the role if she wanted!)
I’ve been hoping to photograph a session at the Spanish Steps for a few years now, loving the unique architecture, glowy tree line, and the fact that it is a bit off the beaten trail, location-wise in DC! This spot couldn’t have been more perfect! Not only do these three walk by here often on their daily walks, it was absolutely beautiful, offering so many different places to set up with their sweet pup.
Bamba just recently celebrated her first birthday, getting to celebrate the occasion with her friends at the dog park (And some photos with her parents!). She was such a sweet girl, hamming it up for the camera and loving all the birdies and squirrels in the trees. In short, she was such a good girl— I was so impressed! I cannot WAIT for you to see the recap from our time together— Bamba is the cutest little teddy bear!
PS for the photos you see of Bamba without a leash, she was leashed— safety first! The leash was photoshopped out in post-processing. Please do not attempt to take solo, unleashed pup photos without having them on a leash, especially in the city!
