I’m so proud of this dear friend of mine! I’ve known Kirsten (Or as I’ve called her for years, Kirst!) since we were both Penn State undergrads, me a senior, and her a sophomore…. and now, fast forward a few years, and she is both a Penn State Grad and a Villanova Law School Grad! (Help! When did we get so old?!) We haven’t seen each other in a few years because you know… pandemic and busy life things, so I was SO excited to give her a big hug all while catching up during her session! It was like no time had passed at all, and it was so much fun to catch up with her while dancing around the monuments and memorials in DC.
It has been so much fun to watch Kirst chase her big dreams while paving the way for her exciting future plans. She just moved to Long Island and started her brand new job a few days ago. I loved hearing all about her vision, hopes for the future, and big moves she wants to make in the world. Knowing this gal, she is sure to make SO much happen. I can’t wait to see all of the good that she does!
The Lincoln Memorial is one of her favorite places, so Kirst knew she absolutely wanted to celebrate such a big graduation with some portraits in the spot! We laughed and giggled and chatted our way through her sunrise session. I’m still trying to decide which outfit of hers is my favorite… from her fun and flowy navy dress to her power pink pantsuit and RBG kicks, you could say I’m pretty much obsessed with what she decided to bring along!
Kirst is a go-getter, one of the kindest humans I know, and as stunning as she is smart! I cannot wait for you to get a peek into our morning at the Lincoln!
PS Future grads dreaming of a session at the Lincoln Memorial should note that it’s currently under construction until 2026. Don’t worry, though! There are plenty of alternative locations in DC that offer equally stunning backdrops. This session features one of my recommended itineraries for grads to use throughout construction. You can check out the project details and explore other options here.
