These two told me they had a gorgeous family farm that they wanted to utilize for their engagement session, but nothing prepared me for this VIEW! Back during the peak of fall, Shannon and Dema met me out in rural VA at the dreamiest property overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, and when I pulled up on their property, I had to pick my jaw up off of my toes as Dema warmly welcomed me from their porch! I instantly knew we were in for an incredible evening… the temps were mild, the light was glow-y, and the leaves were still featuring some gorgeous colors. Knowing these two from our pre-session planning, I knew we would have an amazing time together!
Shannon and Dema met through a friend years ago, and the rest was history— They’ve been together since 2011! According to Shannon, their proposal was the sweetest thing (And it sounds like it was for sure to me!) They were on a hike on one of their favorite paths, and when they got to an overlook near the water, Dema popped the big qustion! Obviously, Shannon said YES!
Shannon loves Dema’s incredible sense of humor and Dema loves Shannon’s big heart and the fact that she is his absolute best friend. Togteher, these two are one of those couples that are just so kind and genuine. They are thoughtful and intentional and instantly put you at ease when you are in their presence. We had SO much fun touring Shannon’s family’s farm property, catching up on all things wedding planning as well as their family’s plans for the space.
I can’t WAIT for you to take a peek at all this fall goodness!

We waited patiently for the sun to set over the mountains, and it was SO worth the wait!
