Y’all get READY for some Longwood Gardens engagement session goodness because I CANNOT handle how gorgeous this one was! Maneesha and Clayton are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met! We had a chance to explore Longwood together at the end of February, and it was SO much fun to tour through this beautiful spot (and SO refreshing to see green leaves again… bring on spring!). Hearing the proposal stories of clients is one of my absolute favorite things as a wedding photographer… and the story these two share may just be one of my favorites ever!
During lockdowns, these two spent lots of their days playing board games. Azul became one of their favorites over time! One Friday afternoon, Clayton asked Maneesha to play a game of Azul. During the game, players draw colorful tiles from a bag, and while setting up the game, Clayton snuck a ring into the bag! He was waiting for her to find it when it was her turn to draw tiles… only she didn’t! She drew tiles, and the game continued, Maneesha oblivious to Clayton’s plans, while Clayton tried his best to play it cool. While Maneesha celebrated how much she was winning by, Clayton could barely focus on the game… he couldn’t stop staring at the bag wondering when she would feel the ring! During the third round, Maneesha finally felt something weird in the bag… she pulled out the ring, Clayton got down on one knee, and she said YES!
He loves her passion for the causes and people she cares about, how eager she is for new experiences, and how competitive she is (making board game nights a little extra fun!). Maneesha loves Clayton’s dedication to the people in his life and the work that he does. He cares so much about the people in his life and always brings joy (and his best dad jokes!) into every interaction. She loves his competitive spirit too… looking forward to many game nights for the rest of their lives!
I cannot WAIT for you to meet these two— they’re as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside! Enjoy a peek into our time together at Longwood!
