A little rain wasn’t going to stop these two from having the best wedding day surrounded by all of their favorite people! Allie and Taylor are MARRIED, y’all, and what a joy it was to spend their day with them. They kicked off my whirlwind that was Memorial Day Weekend, and I don’t think that I could have hand-picked a sweeter wedding day to start the fun! You see… these two are one of those couples that are just so right for each other. They like to laugh together, surround themselves with the kindest people, love their son something fierce, and live a life rooted in doing the things that make them happiest.
Allie and Taylor’s wedding day was one filled with tradition, featuring family heirlooms, meaningful toasts that have been shared at dozens of weddings throughout the years, and so many moments to pay tribute to their family heritage. In fact, Allie’s parents celebrated their own wedding reception in the same exact room years ago!
They are so loved by their family and friends and also love their people so well too. This was so evident in the way their wedding party laughed by their sides, and how their son, Bennett, was such a big part of their day. I actually connected with Allie through her cousin, Lauren— one of my 2020/21 brides (So good to see you, Lauren and Mike!), so it was so much fun to see so many familiar faces too! You could tell that these two had been anticipating their party for a long time, and spending it with so many of their loved ones made it that much sweeter.
Even with some pretty crazy rain in the forecast, their day was perfect. With a mid-ceremony unity shot, a dance floor that was ready to PARTY, and some of the most stunning peach and coral florals, it was such a joy to see their wedding day come together in a way that they have been dreaming of for years. Allie and Taylor perfectly blended tradition with moments that were unique to them as a couple. I can’t wait for you to see just how sweet these two are, so let’s dive right into their wedding recap!
I am OBSESSED with Allie’s shoes!
GAH how gorgeous is her bouquet?!
Allie is SO loved by her people, and that was so, so evident with her sweet group of bridesmaids!
The sweetest first look with Allie’s dad before we headed over to The Warrington! Would you believe that it was POURING when we took these photos?!
Time for Allie and Taylor’s first look! (SO SWEET!)
These two are the best!
In Allie’s family, there is a tradition that goes generations and generations back… women in their family wear this fur cape on their wedding day! We were trying to do the math on how many women have worn this cape on their wedding day and lost track. Such a special way to honor your family heritage on your wedding day!
Did I mention that Allie and Taylor’s wedding party was an absolute blast?!
LOVED these bouquets paired with the black bridesmaids dresses!
A unity shot! I’m obsessed!
Allie originally fell in love with this venue because of its outdoor space! While the rain changed ceremony plans, the sky cleared just in time for us to sneak in some photos outside during cocktail hour. A DREAM! I’m so glad we got some photos of these two in this pretty space!
One of my favorites!
And then it was time to party!
Thank you, Allie and Taylor, for having us along for your wedding day!
