I’m so lucky to work with people that are as kind and caring as they are organized and on it! I instantly knew that Christina and Will were my kind of people after hearing them talk about their dog, Leo. I was beyond excited when Christina let me know that he would be making the trip into DC for his parents’ engagement photos at the Lincoln Memorial! (Shoutout to Furever and Fur Always for keeping him safe throughout our entire time together!)
Christina and Will went to GMU at the same time, and while Will claims that they had met in college, Christina doesn’t quite remember crossing paths. That said, they were Facebook friends, and one day, Christina put up a funny status and Will commented on it! She messaged him on Facebook, and soon they started talking. Their first date was at the National Zoo. He went all out for the date, learning Christina’s favorite flowers were lilies from one of her friends before they met. When he showed up to Christina’s apartment with lilies in hand, she knew he was a keeper! They went to the zoo and had an absolute blast. They’ve been together ever since!
After being together for six years, they had started looking for a house to buy. They closed one Friday, and then on Saturday, Will proposed on the doorstep right before they gave their family a tour of the place! They went out to dinner, and Christina was surprised by a private space full of their friends at their favorite Italian restaurant, ready to celebrate!
Christina and Will’s engagement photos at the Lincoln Memorial have me counting down the days ’til their wedding celebration at Birkby House!
It’s easy to become fast friends with Christina and Will. They are two of the easiest people to talk to, love to be silly together, and are so incredibly joyful (Even at 6:00 in the morning!). Will loves Christina’s caring soul, clever mind, and joyful heart. He says that he always thought the phrase “she lights up the room” was corny until he met her… soon, he learned that this is the PERFECT way to describe Christina. Her smile and laugh makes him fall in love over and over again. Christina says that it is nearly impossible to narrow down what she loves most about Will. She says he is the most patient, loving, kind, understanding, caring, and accepting person she knows. He treats every moment with her like it is our first date, and that doing mundane things with him can be as exciting as skydiving. She says that he is so fun to live and love life with.
Could they be any sweeter?! *If you need me during their vows, I’ll be the one crying happy tears behind the camera.*
We had an absolute blast touring some of the most iconic spots in Washington, DC. We started with engagement photos at the Lincoln Memorial and finished with some beautiful images over in Georgetown. While their July engagement session was a hot and humid one, these two were absolute CHAMPS! I can’t wait for you to scroll through all of the pretty we created together, so let’s get to it!
Here are some of my favorites from Christina and Will’s engagement photos at the Lincoln Memorial!
Leo is the SWEETEST! He was so into his time in front of the camera.
GAH I’m obsessed.
I’m so lucky to have the opportunity to work with some of the sweetest people!
We finished up our time together over on the streets of Georgetown!
