When you adopted your dog in Baltimore and are soon leaving on a new adventure together across the country, portraits together where plenty of walks occurred is a MUST! I met Rhya a few years ago when I was coaching at Orangetheory, and just recently, she reached out to let me know that her nursing career would be taking her to Colorado.
Before she went, she wanted to take some sweet photos with her pup, Gordie, to commemorate such a special season in Baltimore! I was really sad to see that they wouldn’t be able to make family and pet mini sessions based on their move date, so we decided to move their fam and pet mini session date up a little bit from the big group, and I’m SO glad that we did! (Just wait until you see how adorable Gordie is!) We got to planning, and soon, their session date was HERE!
We met at sunrise for Rhya and Gordie’s Fells Point pet portrait session, and it was SO much fun!
It was a little cloudy with some chillier fall temps, but that’s never a bad thing, especially when hoping to capture water views! At first, Gordie was a little confused about me joining on their morning walk, but as soon as he realized I would be sharing plenty of belly rubs, he was fully on board. He was SUCH a good boy during our time together, and didn’t even need any treats to work it for the camera. The man will work for belly rubs and ear scratches— I was impressed!
We had so much fun exploring Broadway Pier and a few of the nearby streets. He was on his best behavior and kept us laughing all morning long, especially when we would get him into a perfect sit, only to have him roll over as soon as the camera came up. (Told you— the man loves his belly rubs!)
Though Baltimore misses these two tremendously, they’re now enjoying life in Colorado! Enjoy a few of my favorite frames from one of their last mornings in Charm City!
