There’s nothing more rewarding than photographing the joy and excitement of graduating seniors. Back in May, I had the pleasure of working with a group of amazing grads at Loyola University Maryland. Now that the busiest point of my wedding season is behind me, it is officially time to hop back into recapping ALLLLLL of this year’s gorgeous sessions! Today, Nicole, Caitlin, Samantha, Alexandra, Cassidy, and Kayla’s group grad session is live! They made their session an absolute blast, and I’m excited to share the highlights of our time together.
We kicked off the session on a picturesque spring evening on Loyola’s campus.
Light was glow-y, and we practically had the entire campus to ourselves! We had so much freedom to explore some of the most iconic spots at Loyola Maryland.
We kicked off their grad photos at Loyola Maryland at the Alumni Chapel, a place that holds a special significance to Loyola graduates. The chapel’s stunning architecture provided the perfect backdrop for some individual and group portraits. I love the vibe that this part of campus offers, feeling so iconic and unique to Loyola’s campus while being SO incredibly beautiful at the same time. The soft, warm light filtering through the surrounding gardens and trees made these already gorgeous grads glow!
Moving on from the chapel, we made our way to the Humanities building. This building always reminds me of Snow White in the best way and made the perfect backdrop for more individual and group photos before this crew popped some bubbly!
To conclude their session, we made our way over to the Loyola bridge and campus sign. This was my first time doing photos over near Loyola’s bridge, and I almost wish that video footage existed of us running back and forth for the iconic views. Picture a little bit of chaos and lots of laughs as we ran in and out of the street between red lights. It was hilarious, and I am so grateful that these girls were willing to do whatever it took to make their vision a reality!
While all of this was fun, what REALLY made their session so special was just how much they hyped each other up and how much FUN they had throughout their entire session!
This kept me and each other laughing from start to finish. They cheered each other on and kept each hyped up in front of the camera. It’s not easy to step in front of the camera with an audience when you’ve never done it before, but they made it look so easy, so fun, and the end result was gorgeous! Their positivity, joy, and welcoming spirits made my job as a grad photographer an absolute joy. It was so sweet to see just how close this crew is!
Their group grad photos at Loyola Maryland are some of my favorites, and I can’t WAIT for you to give all of the pretty a scroll!
Enjoy a sneak peek into the gorgeous evening we had together!
