Don’t worry… grad season recaps will be back soon! BUT, I had to pop in with a gorgeous maternity session from the very end of May because I quite literally couldn’t wait any longer to share this sweet couple and the story behind their beautiful session!
A few months ago, Adam, reached out with hopes to surprise his expecting wife with a unique Mother’s Day gift— a maternity photo session. Through thoughtful planning and a dash of secrecy, he managed to arrange the entire session without his wife, Mary, being any the wiser!
After she received the session as a gift, all that Mary needed to do was pick an outfit, verify her preferred location for the session, and simply be there! Talk about an amazing gift for a mama in their third trimester!
Fast forward a few weeks later, Mary and Adam met me on one of my most favorite piers in all of Baltimore during a stunning early summer golden hour.
Their location of choice was in Locust Point, a serene spot offering spectacular water views and so many views of the Baltimore Inner Harbor. With the ability to capture different elements of the Baltimore skyline in a single location, it’s a photographer’s delight. Moreover, during the early summer sunsets, the pier is relatively empty, making it an ideal spot for exploring and capturing stunning photos.
Accompanying them was their adorable pup, Pax, who was soon to assume the role of the protective big brother! The session captured not just Mary’s growing baby bump, but also the love and bond shared amongst them as a family of three!
Just a few weeks following the session, in early August, Mary and Adam welcomed a healthy baby girl into their worlds and officially become a family of four! (Three humans and one pup, that is!)
Baby girl may be a few months old now, and they are getting ready to spend their first holiday season as a family! That said, it is never too late to recap a session… especially one as sweet as this one!
