Just about 4 or 5 years ago (WOW… time flies!!), I had the pleasure of photographing the early days of the love story of Sarah and Caleb at the very same location as this session, Jones Point Park in Alexandria, VA. Back then, it was their engagement session! This time around, I got to see Sarah and Caleb, not just as two, but as a growing family. Their eldest son, B, was there, along with their new bundle of joy, safely tucked away in Sarah’s womb!
Sarah and Caleb are one of my cherished clients who have opted for the Bump to First Birthday experience.
This package is the perfect way to capture all the precious moments from maternity to the baby’s first birthday. Since their maternity session at Jones Point Park, I have also had the delight of photographing their newborn session, a beautiful morning together that will be shared here on the blog soon!
For their Jones Point Park maternity session, we started off with some playful family photos, making the most of the golden hour sunlight.
The sight of their adorable son giggling, showering kisses on his mama’s bump, and soaring through the air with joy was an absolute delight to capture. As we continued our journey through the park, we stumbled upon some breathtaking views before we made our way towards the riverfront. The final location on this beautiful day was staged under the bridge, surrounded by some fantastic architectural design. It was heartwarming to see Sarah and Caleb’s journey come full circle as they prepared to welcome their second child to their family!
I was also fortunate enough to capture their wedding back in 2020, which happened to be the last weekend of the so-called “normal life” before the pandemic took over.
Witnessing the joy their union has brought into their lives and seeing them evolve into confident parents has been so incredibly special! Over the years, I’ve seen the couple bloom, from their engagement session to their wedding, and now as parents. Their love story is a testament to the joy that relationships can bring into our lives. It has been nothing but a privilege to be a part of their journey and document their precious moments!
