Fall colors, charming historical corners, and love in the air – capturing anniversary portraits in Old Town Alexandria is always a treat! It’s just a little sweeter though when you have a couple as fun as these two to work with! Shall we take a quick look back on their beautiful sunrise session?!
I first met Molly and Gill through a dear friend, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of documenting their engagement session and now some anniversary portraits! In the crisp autumn air, we embarked on our adventure through Old Town Alexandria.
I hoped to find the most picturesque views and vibrant fall colors that would complement Molly and Gill’s love story.
The waterfront served as our starting point, where the sky painted a breathtaking canvas of colors. The hues of the rising sun provided a magical backdrop for our first block of portraits.
As we ventured further into town, we discovered the hidden gems that Old Town Alexandria has to offer. Charming historical corners and quaint alleys awaited us at every turn. The fall colors were at their peak, adorning the streets with rich hues of reds, oranges, and golds. House stoops were adorned with festive decorations, adding to the fall magic of our journey!
Molly and Gill’s session was a celebration of their love and the joy they bring to each other’s lives.
As we strolled through the streets, I couldn’t help but notice how effortlessly they connect with each other. Their laughter echoed through the alleys as Gill tried to steal kisses as Molly (part jokingly!) tried to dodge his affection. It was evident that their love is not only enduring but also filled with a sense of fun and adventure.
The beauty of Old Town Alexandria served as the perfect backdrop for their updated portraits. I loved getting caught up on their married life, upcoming travels, and holiday plans. Their warmth and openness made our time together feel like catching up with old friends!
