Bridal Session in Old Town Alexandria | Mandy

The southern girl in me is still SO obsessed with this session with Mandy! You see… bridal sessions are HUGE in the South. Up here in Maryland? They usually are something that a lot of couples pass on! That said, Mandy was pumped to incorporate bridals into her wedding experience, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to have this special time with her before her and George’s wedding day!

As a Bridal Portrait Photographer in Virginia, I absolutely love when marriers choose to schedule a pre-wedding individual portrait session with me before their wedding day. For Mandy, this looked like bridal portraits!

It’s such a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera while seeing how every detail of your wedding day look comes together! For Mandy, we scheduled her bridal session on the same day as her hair and makeup trial. She also had her florist create a bouquet to accompany her too! I LOVE that this allowed Mandy to see how her full look would photograph, down to the florals, before her wedding day even arrived!

One of the biggest benefits of adding a bridal session is getting to see your entire look come together before the big day.

This gives you time to adjust and refine (or just get super excited!) while also allowing us pretty much unlimited time to create stunning portraits. If you want lots of variety in locations and posing in your individual portraits in your wedding attire but ALSO want to fully enjoy your wedding day, a pre-wedding session like Mandy’s bridal session is the perfect addition to your experience. This charming spot was a place that we were hoping to incorporate on Mandy and George’s wedding day, so it was incredibly special to see everything come together months in advance. Plus, these photos then tied into Mandy and George’s wedding gallery seamlessly! While the day we met was FREEZING, Mandy was such a trooper! She made the most stunning bride as we explored the frigid waterfront and cobblestone alleys.

While these photos have been kept private on my drive for well over a year (I mean… I couldn’t ruin the surprise factor of Mandy’s look, no matter how stunning she is!), I figured they finally deserved their time in the spotlight! I mean… when your dress fits you like a glove and shows off your incredible tattoos in THE most spectacular way…?! It’s a no brainer. This stunning bride absolutely deserves a special place right here on the CKP Blog!
