It seems to be engagement session season again, and WOW does it feel good, y’all! We’ve been planning (and then replanning… thanks, COVID!) Alex & Nick’s session for a few months now, and it FINALLY happened just a few Friday’s ago. It was well worth the wait!
Oh my goodness was it fun to have these two in front of my camera! I’ve actually known Alex since we were both at Penn State, where we were group fitness instructors together, and I just loved seeing how happy she is with Nick by her side. Alex and Nick met while Alex was still in college. Nick is best friends with Alex’s best friend’s now-husband, and from the day they met, Alex had a crush on Nick! It wasn’t until about four years after meeting that they finally connected with each other though.
Nick loves that Alex constantly loves him every day and that she is his best friend. Alex loves Nick’s patience and how he constantly builds her up. Nick proposed to Alex on the farm where her family keeps their horses. She had a feeling that a ring might be coming, but was totally surprised on the day of the proposal! Alex says that, if you ask Nick, he’ll probably say that nothing went as planned that day. As they were taking a walk around the farm, Nick stopped and let Alex know that he would love to spend the rest of his life on a property just like that one with her, and a moment later, he was down on one knee! Can we talk about how sweet and thoughtful that is?!
We met for their engagement session on a Friday afternoon and had SO much fun touring two STUNNING locations. Between Fort Hunter and Boyd Big Tree Preserve, I can’t even begin to decide which spot was my favorite. These two were posing masters right out of the gate, giggling and smiling and making my job SO much fun the entire time. I’m counting down the days ’til their stunning, October wedding day!
