I don’t even have WORDS to express how excited I am to share Maddie & Jon’s STUNNING summer wedding with you today! This was my first wedding since FEBRUARY, and I was pretty much holding my breath, hoping that this day would happen, up until I parked my car at their venue! Let me tell you… it was the PERFECT way to re-enter wedding season!!!
I’ve been waiting for Maddie & Jon’s day for TWO YEARS now (and them even longer!), and the fact that their day HAPPENED despite all of the COVID craziness and was so beyond perfect still has me SO overjoyed! Their gorgeous, intimate summer day in West Chester, PA was spent with their closest family and friends. Their JOY throughout the entire day was felt by everyone in attendance! From the moment I arrived to the moment I pulled out of the parking lot, you could tell that these two (and their families) were so incredibly excited to be present with each other while celebrating the start of a brand new chapter for Maddie and Jon.
These two have known each other since MIDDLE SCHOOL! Though Maddie and Jon didn’t officially get together until they were both at Penn State, they were friends for years, and you can truly tell that their relationship is built on a foundation of true friendship. Their families are incredibly important to these two, and that was so evident all day long. They honored their family in their wedding parties (Jon’s father was his best man!!) and shared their vows with their closest family members as witnesses.
I’ll admit… I was nervous heading into this one, partly because it was my first wedding back since quarantine (where I basically forgot how to interact with people!) and also because I would be photographing it alone! I always work with a second shooter, but to help limit those present, I was solo for Maddie and Jon’s day. I have to say… these two and their families couldn’t have made the day easier and made me feel SO incredibly welcomed. A huge thank you to these two, their wedding parties, and their families for making me feel like part of the family all day long.
Maddie and Jon’s day was nothing short of incredible and so very meant to be. I can’t wait for you to get a sneak peek into the magic!

Thank you, Maddie and Jon! These two put up with me making facial expressions through a mask all day long and only thought I was crazy for it a few times!
