The day began with hair and makeup off-site, giving me a chance to scout the stunning grounds of the Elkridge Furnace Inn before everything got rolling.

The gardens were bursting with color—dogwoods, azaleas, and lush greenery everywhere I turned! When the ladies arrived, I started with details: gorgeous rings, heirloom jewelry, and thoughtful stationery that perfectly tied everything together. Upstairs, I could hear excited laughter and happy chatter from Olivia and her crew as the anticipation of the day settled in!

Soon, it was time for Olivia to step into her dress—and wow, what a moment it was. Her mom helped her into her timeless gown in one of the charming upstairs rooms, giving them a quiet moment just the two of them before the festivities kicked off. Just across the way, Matt was suiting up too!

Olivia and Matt’s first look was tucked away in the garden, surrounded by all the spring blooms.

Dogwoods… azaleas… some pretty pink flowers I still have yet to learn the name of… and the sweetest couple in the middle of all of all the pretty! Olivia and Matt’s smiles said it all—they were SO excited to be together and officially kick off their celebration. We followed their first look with a few dreamy portraits, and before long, their joyful wedding party joined in for group photos. Let me tell you—this crew brought the energy and made portrait time a total blast!

As guests began to arrive, the skies opened up with a quick downpour (I mean talk about a sign of good luck on your wedding day!).

Not to worry… we had umbrellas on hand and the storm passed just in time for their ceremony to begin right on time! Talk about meant to be! Olivia and Matt’s ceremony was heartfelt and personal, filled with sweet vows, shared laughter, and the most meaningful stories from their journey together.

With golden hour light peeking through the trees, we captured a few more glowy just-married portraits before Olivia and Matt joined their guests on the front lawn for cocktail hour. Everyone soaked in the springtime air, refreshing drinks in hand, celebrating on the beautiful grounds of the Elkridge Furnace Inn… cocktail hour truly couldn’t have been a better way to kick off the night!

From there, the night flowed into a delicious dinner and the most epic dance party you could imagine. Their family and friends did not hold back—they kept the dance floor packed all night long! It was one of those receptions where the energy just keeps building, and every moment is more fun than the last.

As the evening came to a close, Olivia and Matt shared one final private dance in the glow of the reception space while their guests gathered outside.

Then, hand in hand, they headed out into the night through a tunnel of sparklers—ending their Elkridge Furnace Inn wedding day in the most magical way.
