It was a beautiful day back in July when I had the pleasure of capturing Elizabeth and Chris’s engagement photos at the Fells Point Waterfront in Baltimore, MD. With a stunning sunrise as our backdrop, the stage was set for an unforgettable morning together.
Despite the summer heat and humidity, Elizabeth and Chris arrived at the Broadway Pier in Fells Point, eager and ready to create some magic.
The couple’s enthusiasm was infectious, and as the sun began to rise, we embarked on our journey of capturing their unique love story in the most beautiful way possible. After witnessing the breathtaking sunrise, we ventured further into Fells, exploring the waterfront and capturing the couple’s love against the backdrop of iconic piers and charming city streets. The couple’s chemistry was palpable, and the waterfront provided the perfect ambiance to highlight their connection.
Every photo session is better with a dash of caffeine, especially a sunrise session! Following our exploration of the waterfront, we headed to the Daily Grind for a coffee break. Over iced coffee and pastries, Elizabeth and Chris wrapped up their session by snuggling and sipping on some refreshments!
Elizabeth and Chris’s love story began a few years ago on OK Cupid.
After messaging for a bit, they set a date to get together! What was planned to be a casual date turned into a six-hour-long adventure. They spent the evening exploring Hampden, their connection growing stronger with each passing moment. Despite the debate over who initiated the first kiss, they both agreed— that night was the start of something special.
Their proposal story is just as enchanting as their first date! During a camping trip with friends on the Eastern Shore, Chris began to think of the perfect moment and location to pop the question. As the sun set on their first day of the trip, Chris, inspired by the breathtaking colors in the sky, decided to propose during sunset the following evening.
The next day, as the group was oddly hesitant to head towards the water, Elizabeth, eager to witness the sunset, went down to the water. Chris followed her, clutching the ring in his pocket. As the final rays of the day bathed the shore in a warm glow, Chris asked Elizabeth if she was ready. Connecting the dots, she excitedly exclaimed, “YES!” and they got engaged in the light of the beautiful sunset, their friends capturing the precious moments on camera.
These two are clearly made for each other.
Chris admires Elizabeth’s fun, energetic personality and her incredible sense of humor. He appreciates her intelligence and the joy she brings to his life. On the other hand, Elizabeth adores Chris’s kindness, thoughtfulness, and his ability to make her laugh. She appreciates how he challenges her, surprises her, and makes her feel loved and accepted. Elizabeth feels that every day with Chris is a gift.

As we wrapped up our session, I couldn’t help but feel honored to have been a small part of documenting Elizabeth and Chris’s journey. Their love story, intertwined with the charm and beauty of Baltimore, was a joy to capture. I look forward to celebrating their wedding in Baltimore in May.
