We’re continuing the recap of grad season with the sweet and gorgeous Hannah! She was just wrapping up her senior year when we met for these photos back in May! With a virtual graduation, she and her mom knew they wanted to do something special to celebrate. She’ll be leaving the DC area for school, and after spending a number of years growing up in the area, they knew that the perfect way to commemorate her graduation would be with gorgeous portraits at one of the most iconic places in town: The Lincoln Memorial!
We had SO much fun during her session… you hardly would have known it was before 7AM! Hannah is easy going and such a joy to spend time with. We got some gorgeous glow during sunrise, had the place almost to ourself (a rarety during grad season!), and fortunately, the cicadas were only on the paths around the Lincoln and hadn’t actually invaded the memorial itself yet 🤢 We laughed and twirled, and Hannah taught me all of the must-know lingo to be hip these days. She and her mom might just be some of the easiest and sweetest people I have ever worked with! They are kind, genuine, and truly have one of the sweetest mother-daughter relationships I’ve seen!
This fall, Hannah is headed off to college at the University of Delaware! I can’t wait to watch this sweet gal thrive in her new adventures!
Congrats, Hannah! Best of luck in Denver in the fall!
PS Future grads dreaming of a session at the Lincoln Memorial should note that it’s currently under construction until 2026. Don’t worry, though! There are plenty of alternative locations in DC that offer equally stunning backdrops. This session features one of my recommended itineraries for grads to use throughout construction. You can check out the project details and explore other options here.
