Lindsey and Russ were married on THE most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s Day! They also happened to get engaged on Valentine’s Day, in a spot where they spent so many summer days together as kids. They definitely have an affinity for romance, and it was SO sweet to see their Valentine’s Day wedding dreams come to fruition! Fun and friendship have always been woven through their entire relationship. This was so evident on their wedding day. They are able to communicate with just a glance, are happiest when hand in hand, and are SO much fun on the dance floor!
When I pulled up to Rosemont Springs, I’ll admit… I was a little worried! As I drove in, I caught a glimpse of the temperature and then checked the real feel— it was sitting somewhere between 15 and 25 for most of the day. I wasn’t sure how I would manage to convince everyone to go outside for portraits, but when I got there, I was greeted by the sweetest and most thoughtful wedding party! They were committed to doing whatever it took to make Lindsey and Russ’s dream day a reality! We joked that the day was unofficially sponsored by Hot Hands, and tough it was cold, it was SO worth it to take advantage of some of the lingering snow and glow-y winter light.
I loved their pops of pink and sparkle incorporated throughout their entire wedding design— the perfect Valentine’s Day color palette! With thoughtful details and personal touches to honor those closest to them, both present in person and present in spirit, it was so touching to see just how many people Lindsey and Russ have the support of as they move into married life! They spent the day surrounded by their closest family and friends, and it couldn’t have been more of a treat to be there to photograph it!
Lindsey and Russ were married by Lindsey’s Godfather in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Historic Rosemont Manor overlooking the hills of VA and later celebrated at the barn at Rosemont Springs with so many of their loved ones. I may have gone a *little* overboard on their sneak peek… but you’ll understand as soon as you get to scrolling why that is! Their wedding day was one for the BOOKS! Shall we dive in?!

We got to do sunset portraits on the Manor side of the property AND over near the barn. It was absolutely stunning! I’m so grateful that Lindsey and Russ let me keep them out in the cold because it was SO worth it!
