Anytime I’m able to get behind the camera is a treat, but when the people you’re hanging out with are as sweet as these two, it’s just a little more special! I met Molly & Gill at my sweet friend’s wedding (Hi Megan!!) back in April, and when Molly reached out to me about doing their engagement session, I couldn’t even contain my excitement. I was a little nervous about having a January engagement session… after all, January is usually pretty freezing cold (which is not the most fun when you’re trying to look your best in front of the camera!). We lucked out though… the day we were supposed to have was forecasted to be rainy and cold, but we actually got a warm, sunny day! Insert ALLLL the praise hand emojis here! Seriously though… it was almost 70 degrees and absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
Molly and Gill originally met at a get together a few years ago and then reconnected through a dating app! They realized that they had quite a few mutual friends at the time and always wondered how it was that they never thought to introduce them. Fast forward, and Gill had the sweetest proposal planned for Molly involving the DC War Memorial and dinner out! When the day finally arrived though, it was pouring. Not surprisingly, Molly didn’t really want to go to check out the memorial, but somehow, Gill convinced her to come along with him before their dinner plans. When they got to the memorial, Molly looked around for a moment and then turned around to find Gill down on one knee— the rest was history!
I had so much fun hanging out with these two on Capitol Hill! These two busy DC professionals are planning to tie the knot at the end of the year in Mississippi!! Congrats, cuties!!

We had to stop one of the places where these two went on their first date: Acqua al 2 near Eastern Market!
