Let me introduce you to Katie and Eric, a smitten couple who are eagerly counting down the days to their eagerly anticipated nuptials in May 2024. Their love story began with a chance encounter of matching on two different dating apps on the same day, blossoming into a romance that saw them navigate the challenges of a long-distance relationship. Now, they are looking forward to celebrating their love in an intimate garden wedding set in the beautiful Charlottesville, VA.
Katie and Eric chose the historic Tudor Place and the vibrant neighborhood streets of Georgetown for their engagement session.
Each corner of Tudor Place, with its sprawling gardens and classic manor house views, offered a distinct European charm that I am truly obsessed with! We explored the blooming gardens and pretty views as the sun began to set, and as our time came to a close there, these two changed into their second outfit before we headed out to explore Georgetown on foot.
We finished their session by exploring the neighborhood streets of Georgetown, posing against grand street corners adorned with blooming flowers and ivy-draped walls. They snuggled and twirled and giggled all while we discussed their wedding plans and all of the things that they are most excited about.
In a world where digital dating is the norm, Katie and Eric’s story stands out.
They matched on not one, but two different dating apps on the same day! Their first date in January 2020 marked the beginning of a journey that they’ve been cherishing ever since.
Katie, a pharmacist, and Eric, a chemist, are clearly meant to be. They are two of the kindest people, make you feel right at home in their presence, and can communicate with just a glance. I guess you could say they have amazing chemistry 😉 Their relationship has weathered the challenges of long-distance dating, and they now reside together in Baltimore.
The weekend that Eric popped the question was filled with surprises.
From surprising Katie with tickets to her favorite band’s concert to a romantic day at the museums in DC, Eric left no stone unturned to make it memorable. Eric dropped to one knee in front of the Botanic Gardens to ask Katie to be his wife, which Katie joyfully accepted.
Eric admires Katie for her intelligence and caring nature, while Katie appreciates Eric’s nurturing ways and constant support. Their bond is a testament to their shared values and mutual respect.
Eric and Katie are planning an intimate garden wedding in Charlottesville, VA, in May 2024.
It promises to be a celebration of their love story, filled with joy, love, laughter, and cherished memories with their closest friends and family. I cannot WAIT to celebrate with them.
As they work through the last of their wedding planning to dos, you can scroll through their beautiful summer engagement session! I cannot WAIT for you to see all of the magical locations that we found together!
